Directors

Richard Wilkinson
Director
Richard is the senior partner of Wilkinson Law. Admitted as a solicitor by Lord Denning himself in 1974, Richard has a vast experience in private and commercial practice, in both the United Kingdom and Gibraltar.
For many years, Richard pioneered the enforcement of intellectual property rights in the liquefied petroleum gas industry. Recognised locally and internationally as an exceptional lawyer, Richard is often consulted by clients looking for innovative solutions to seemingly intractable problems, particularly in high-value commercial transactions.
As a lifelong yachtsman, Richard knows how to help a client weather any storm.

Suresh Mahtani
Director
Suresh is a partner of the firm. Having graduated in Computer Science in 1989 with first-class honours from Imperial College London, Suresh converted to the law in 2008, completing the Graduate Diploma in Laws and graduating with distinction from the University of Law.
After completing the Bar Professional Training Course at the Inns of Court School of Law in 2010, Suresh was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2011 and to the Gibraltar Bar in early 2012.
Widely regarded as a tenacious litigator and a hands-on problem-solver, as well as a highly successful entrepreneur with a proven track record in business, Suresh is regularly instructed by clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Suresh is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Hindi.
Legal Team

Kevin Colombo
Consultant
Since joining Wilkinson Law in 2020, Kevin Colombo has quickly gained recognition as one of Gibraltar’s top criminal defence lawyers, achieving remarkable success all the way up to the Court of Appeal.
His attention to detail and methodical approach to case management, coupled with superb advocacy skills and an exhaustive knowledge of criminal procedure makes him the lawyer of choice for those requiring the best possible representation.
Kevin has previously worked at HM Customs & Excise and is an experienced prosecutor, having worked for the Gibraltar Law Offices for many years, where he was awarded the coveted red barrister’s bag at the height of his distinguished career for his role in high-profile drugs and money-laundering case.
Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1996 and in the same year, admitted to the Gibraltar Bar, Kevin also holds a Master of Arts with distinction in Enterprise Management.

Roy Sharma
Consultant
Roy is a consultant to the firm, having qualified as a solicitor in 1997. He practised in the United Kingdom for five years before settling in Gibraltar in 2004, where he was called to the Gibraltar Bar.
Roy is a member of the Law Society of England & Wales (non-practising), the International Compliance Association, the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and the Lawyers’ Christian Fellowship (UK).
He also holds a Diploma in International Trust Management from the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners and was, for some time, the head of the Trust Department of a local law firm.
His main areas of practice are Corporate & Commercial, Private Clients, Trusts, Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Litigation, Employment and Wills & Probate.
In the past, he has acted as director and in-house lawyer of an international trust company and also provided tailored advice to High Net Worth Individuals.
Outside of the office, Roy is a member of the Gibraltar Badminton Association where he plays in the local league. He is also currently learning the piano, joining the rest of his family, who are all talented musicians.

John Viales
Consultant
John is a consultant to the firm and was called to the Gibraltar Bar in 2008. After graduating from Coventry University, John worked as an Investigating Officer for the Gibraltar Ombudsman for a few years, affording him considerable insight into the investigation and resolution of complaints against Government Departments.
John then pursued the Graduate Diploma in Law at Exeter University and the Bar Vocational Course at the UWE. A member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, he was called to the Bar of England & Wales and the Gibraltar Bar in 2008.
In addition to the experience gained working with different law firms in Gibraltar, John has also worked closely with Sir Joe Bossano. As such, he has acquired a sound skillset in different practice areas, including employment law, housing law and personal injury claims. John particularly excels in criminal litigation and is also highly experienced in representing juveniles in criminal courts.
Clients have consistently found John to be a highly approachable practitioner with whom they are able to discuss their matters in a safe, confidential manner. John is bilingual in English and Spanish and in his spare time he enjoys reading and travelling.
Wilkinson Law – Administration Team

Marta Tinnion
Accounts Administrator
Marta joined Wilkinson Law in October 2018 as an accounts assistant, having undertaken courses at Gibraltar University in conjunction with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), graduating with distinction in August 2018.
A seasoned law enforcement professional both in the United Kingdom and in Spain, Marta now pursues a career in accounting, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a varied skillset.
Highly organised and used to high-pressured, structured, legal deadlines, Marta is a welcome addition to the Wilkinson Law accounts department.

Giovanna Neale
Receptionist
Giovanna joined Wilkinson Law in January 2021 after having worked for a number of years in another Gibraltar law firm.
Juvi, as she is affectionately known, is an efficient, valuable member of the Wilkinson Law team.

Kelsey Cornelio
Messenger & Junior Admin
Kelsey joined Wilkinson Law in October 2021 as a Messenger & Junior Administrator fresh out of school and eager to work within the legal industry.
As a valuable member of the administration team at Wilkinson Law, Kelsey continually provides support to the legal team, in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
In her free time, she coaches a rowing team of teenagers and is also a rower herself. Additionally, Kelsey loves travelling and spending time with her friends.
